The Seiva comes from 6 different vineyards, each around 600 meters of altitude, and is a blend of roughly 12-14 grape varieties, mostly red but with a small percentage of white blended in. The largest portion of the blend is made up of Alicante Bouschet, Grand Noir, Aragonez (Tempranillo), Trincadeira, Tinta de Olho Branco, Castelão, and Moreto, but within that Alicante Bouschet makes up the plurality. The grapes were partially destemmed, then aged in used, smaller barrels. It's insanely elegant, with the silky, sandy structure of aged Bordeaux, flavors of red and black fruit, and a savory, earthy accent of cedar, olive, and spices.
